JavaScript Job: Junior Developer

About the role:

Our software department is looking for a passionate software engineer to join our existing team. The team currently develops and maintains the software tooling that supports the business in a multitude of ways as well public facing applications to provide a self serve services. We use a wide range of technologies to achieve our goals such as Vue.JS, AdonisJS, PostgreSQL, SQL, Azure DevOps, and Kubernetes. In this role you will:

• Collaborate with the team and other departments to deliver high quality solutions
• Implement new features to existing projects
• Work on internal and customer facing applications

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of programming fundamentals and a strong desire to learn. They also should have:

• Experience using CSS component libraries (Tailwind, Bootstrap etc)
• Experience using a Framework/Library such as Vue, React, Svelte, etc
• Some experience of Typescript
• Ability to follow design specifications
• Ability to manage their own project workload
• The desire to learn

Desirable:

• Knowledge of SEO
• Knowledge of web vitals
• Knowledge of design tools such as Figma
• Knowledge of any testing suite
• Local to the North East for hybrid working
